Milestone reached: Sunnic Lighthouse and DB Energie conclude further solar PPAs and reach cumulative contract volume of over 200 MWp
Hamburg. Sunnic Lighthouse GmbH, the electricity trading subsidiary of solar park developer ENERPARC AG, and DB Energie have concluded two further power purchase agreements (PPAs). The first includes the supply of around 36 GWh of solar power per year from January 1, 2024 until December 31, 2026. The second PPA, which also started on January 1, 2024 and runs until December 31, 2027, covers an annual supply volume of around 35 GWh. The electricity comes from a total of eleven PV systems already connected to the parent company ENERPARC with a total output of around 83 MWp.
With these further PPAs signed by Sunnic and DB Energie, the two contractual partners have reached another milestone: with the six contracts now concluded, they have secured the cumulative supply of solar power from ENERPARC solar plants already connected to the grid with a total output of over 200 MWp.
Arved von Harpe, Managing Director of Sunnic Lighthouse: "We are delighted to continue our partnership with DB Energie. With our wide range of possible supply structures, we can offer DB Energie needs-based solutions and create real added value for our customers."
The first electricity supply contract was signed in November 2019 for the joint Wasbek pilot project. The solar park built there by ENERPARC feeds green electricity directly into the traction current grid. To date, the project is considered an innovative solution on the market that does not rely on the overloaded public power grid.
