Hamburg, February 6, 2025 – Hamburg-based green electricity marketer Sunnic Lighthouse is starting the new year with successful figures and the expansion of its portfolio. With the conclusion of power purchase agreements (PPAs) totaling more than 2 gigawatts, Sunnic has further strengthened its position in the industry and, according to a recent survey commissioned by Montel News, is one of the largest direct marketers in Germany.
At E-world in Essen, the leading trade fair for the European energy industry, Sunnic will be represented with its own booth for the first time this year and will present its latest services to a broad specialist audience. Sunnic recently expanded its offering to include trading in electricity from wind turbines that are no longer eligible for subsidies (post-EEG). In addition, the ENERPARC subsidiary is now also taking over the marketing of battery energy storage systems (BESS) from its parent company's pipeline and has already signed its first contracts.
Arved von Harpe, Managing Director of Sunnic Lighthouse: "We are increasingly moving away from EEG marketing and focusing on direct marketing via partners – this puts us in a good position for the future. The solar plant and storage portfolio of our parent company ENERPARC alone will enable us to supply green electricity via PPA contracts with a volume of more than 3,000 megawatts over the next three years. We are very pleased to be at E-world this year with our stand and to present our products."
Sunnic Lighthouse's traditional business continues to include the conclusion of PPAs with companies, municipal utilities, and energy suppliers, as well as the direct marketing of wind and solar power and the full supply of industrial customers.
