For another two years: LichtBlick and Sunnic Lighthouse extend direct supply contract

Hamburg, August 20, 2024 – Integrated energy supplier LichtBlick has extended its existing direct supply agreement (Power Purchase Agreement – PPA) with Hamburg-based green electricity trader Sunnic Lighthouse by two more years (until the end of 2026). This means that the company will continue to purchase around 38 gigawatt hours of green electricity per year from eight solar parks in Germany. This amount is sufficient to supply around 17,000 private households with electricity for a year.

"From day one, we have enjoyed a close and trusting partnership with Sunnic Lighthouse. We signaled early on that we wanted to extend our cooperation. The fact that we were able to agree on this today shows how satisfied we are with the collaboration," says Jan-Christopher Klotz, Head of Structuring and Origination at LichtBlick.

Jan Knievel, Head of Origination at Sunnic Lighthouse: "We look forward to continuing our cooperation with LichtBlick. Beyond our business relationship, we are united by our motivation to shape the energy transition. Like Sunnic as part of the ENERPARC Group, LichtBlick was one of the first companies in Germany to make a consistent decision to supply households and businesses exclusively with green energy. At the same time, LichtBlick recognized early on that electricity supply contracts tailored flexibly to the needs of our customers are an important accelerator for this."
